PEARL CITY — Over 20 golfers from all divisions gathered on Oahu on September 1-2, 2018 for a weekend full of camaraderie and good sportsmanship. This year, players competed as teams, but golfed with members from other divisions at Pearl Country Club, a union house as one of Oahu Division’s units.
This arrangement created a great opportunity for fellowship across islands. Members from Pepsi on Oahu got to know their brothers from Kauai’s St. Regis Princeville, and other combinations created six teams of four (see photos).
Tee-off started bright and early before 8 am on both days, and even the rain on Sunday did not deter the golfers’ spirits.
This year’s tournament was made possible by Statewide Sports Coordinator Brian Tanaka, Oahu Business Agents Paris Fernandez, Dillon Hullinger and Jose Miramontes; Hawaii Business Agents Michael Dela Cruz and Tristie Licoan; Kauai Business Agent Chad Pacheco.
