Business Agent Candidate
Francine Masuhara-Molina
Aloha fellow ILWU members!
Not many of you know me, my name is Francine Masuhara-Molina and I have been a union steward for about 7 years now. I have served as a vice-chair, unit treasurer, grievance chairperson, and editor. I can’t say I am the most experienced, but I can promise that I am eager, honest, compassionate, and driven. I value credibility, accountability, and honesty above all. I chose to come forward so I can make a difference. I have seen and experienced first- hand the benefits of a union and strongly believe in its purpose. It’s time for change. I bring a new set of eyes and ears to the table. I’m here to listen and always work to secure fairness, livable wages, and comparable benefits. Together we can make a difference! With solidarity, compassion, and credibility in my heart, I humbly ask for your support in starting with “a new vision for Hawaii.”
Business Agent Candidate
Corinna Salmo
It has been a pleasure to serve you as a Hawaii Division Business Agent for the past six years. But I would most of all like to recognize the unit officer’s who are so committed to their membership and give so freely their time. It will be an honor to be able to serve you once again. The ILWU Local 142 and all of the members will always be first and foremost to me. However, we have a lot of work ahead of us. The economy is still not where we need it to be and with that said, we will be facing tougher negotiations. But, if we work together we can achieve anything we set our minds and hearts to. I am also proud to be able to work with an amazing team of candidates who will represent Hawaii Division. With this new team comes new dreams and visions for us all as we move forward into the future with this great organization.
Division Trustee Candidate
Mary “Swanee” Rillanos
I am an employee at Mauna Kea Beach Hotel and have been a loyal member of the ILWU Local 142 for 39 years. Being a part of this organization has allowed me to get involve and participate in many aspects of the union. I have had the privilege and satisfaction of serving my unit as a Steward, Secretary-Treasurer, Bulletin Editor, a member of our Grievance and Negotiating Committees, a Judicial Panelist and a Delegate to many Local and International Conventions. My involvement has given me the experience and knowledge to represent my fellow brothers and sisters to the best of my ability. Leading by example is the best way for our membership to follow. My future goal is to have all ILWU members be treated with dignity, respect and appreciation.
I am honored to have been able to serve you and humbly ask for your continued support and YOUR VOTE during this up-coming election.
