LIHUE—It was a beautiful Saturday for softball—especially for the Mauna Lani team from Hawaii Division, which defeated perennial champions Kauai Coffee and claimed first place in the 52nd ILWU State Fast Pitch Tournament.

A grandfather, father, and son participated in this year’s tournament: longtime ILWU member Stanley “Pope” Dotario (right), his grandson Keith “Kito” Nonaka (left) and Kito’s father Wendall Nonaka (see All-Star photo above, second row, far left) all played for Kauai Coffee. Keith’s mother Mona Dotario also helped out as tournament scorekeeper.
