Doreen H. Kua
Brothers and Sisters of ILWU Local 142 Kauai Division,
We are faced with many challenges in guiding the future direction of our Union. In order to achieve the level of effectiveness in our union that best serves the rank-and-file, I strongly believe we must listen to the voices and service the needs of our workforce. I understand and have the working knowledge and experience that will bring results.
I have fought for a lot of things that was not popular but for the cause of the membership. Taking the right stand is not always the popular one, but at the end of the day, it’s about servicing our members.
I take this time to humbly request your vote for me for Kauai Division Business Agent in the upcoming 2012 Local elections. We must be committed to continue working closely together to bring about change for our Kauai Division.
Thank you for your consideration for a favorable vote for Business Agent.
In Solidarity,
Doreen Kua

Aloha Brothers and Sister,
For the last nine years I have had the privilege of serving as your Business Agent. I would like to ask for your support in my bid for re-election.
I won’t lie, there are moments when I have a love/hate relationship with some of the different challenges this job presents, however, I really do love representing the membership.
People ask what is my mission statement? I am not sure I have one, I can promise to give my best, to try hard, listen more and talk less.
Mahalo,
Pamela Green

Aloha Kaua’i Members,
A Sincere Mahalo for allowing me to serve as your Business Agent for 3 years.
It’s a humbling, and challenging experience, I graciously thank unit officers, and members, for their Kokua.
I’ve served on the SHPDA commission for 8 years, the last several as chairman. I’m currently serving as a member of the State EMSAC commission.
I’ve coached AYSO, K-PAL, Boys and Girls Club, Little League. Served my country in the USAF, and Hawaii Air National Guard.
Volunteering was my way of giving back to my Community, Island, State, and Country to which I’m proud to have been born and raised.
Being a union member at Princeville Operating Company since 1975, and Chairman for over 20 years have given me the experience I needed for the challenges that I’ve endured. Working in many departments, housekeeping, bell, engineering, and golf course taught me to appreciate all the jobs and hard work that members do.
The process I’ve experienced, includes negotiating multiple contracts in various industries, including but not limited to acquiring cost free medical plans for some units. I humbly ask for your continued support as your Business Agent. Alan King Kimura
