WE worked hand in hand 24/7 to make sure all union JOBS have been secured, NO loss of seniority, status, benefits, provided the needed MEDICAL PLAN for each members including their families, safety in workplace, unemployment assistance etc. WE really touched the LIVES of our MEMBERS. We don't know the uncertainties and challenges in our organization ahead of us because of this unending pandemic. Brothers and sisters as one OHANA with common VALUES and ASPIRATIONS we need a LEADERS who are COMPETENT, EXPERIENCED and COMPASSIONATE to LEAD us for the next triennium. I HUMBLY ask you SUPPORT. Aloha fellow union brothers and sisters! My name is Steven Lee, currently a Business Agent for the Maui Division. I would be honored to continue representing members of ILWU Local 142 for the next 3 years. I immigrated to the United States from South Korea as a child with my family. We settled in Chicago where I grew up. My wife and I have a son who is a junior at the University of Washington. I began working at the Hyatt Regency Maui as an electrician in 2005. I became a steward in 2007, eventually becoming the Unit Chair. I was elected as Local Executive Board in 2012. I have been serving as a Local Representative and Business Agent for the Maui Division since 2014. We live in a time of tremendous political uncertainty and dissension. Threats to unions and the rights of working men and women are ever present. I am passionate about our union and how it seeks to always protect the rights of workers. I would appreciate your support and vote so I may continue working for members of ILWU Local 142 Maui Division. Mahalo!
