Aloha brothers and sisters! I humbly ask for your support in this upcoming election. I have been a hotel employee and ILWU member for more than 37 years. As a Hyatt Regency Maui rank and file employee (Unit 2516), I served as a Steward (2005-2007) and Unit Chairman (2007- 2013). During this time, I successfully participated, helped to facilitate several contract negotiations and served as a Delegate in several local and international conventions. In addition, I participated in contract negotiations at the Makena Beach (2011).
I served as an International Executive Board member representing Tourism (2009-2012), Local Executive Board member (2009-2013) and served on the Political Action Committee (2012).
I frequently filled in as a temporary Business Agent (2008-2012) and gained valuable experience servicing several different units.
I am completing my first term as a fulltime Business Agent (2012-current) and have represented Westin Maui and Makena Beach. I currently represent The Hyatt Regency Maui, Andaz Wailea, and Pulama Lana‘i.
I would consider it an honor to serve the great members of Local 142. You deserve a hardworking advocate and I am willing to meet this challenge with dedication. Mahalo for your vote.

Aloha brothers and sisters! My name is Steven Lee. I am currently appointed as Business Agent for Maui Division. I humbly ask for your support in the next election, so I may continue to serve the membership. Before becoming an ILWU member at Hyatt Regency Maui, I have been a part of Teamsters while employed at United Parcel Service (UPS) and also was a member of United Auto Workers (UAW) with General Motors. I believe my involvement and the knowledge that I have gained from these unions will we be great asset to the membership. I am not going to make promises, but I will try to represent you best of my ability and knowledge. Once again, I humbly ask for your vote and trust for Business Agent-at-Large, Maui Division. Mahalo.

Aloha Brother and Sisters, As the current Maui Division Director, it has been my honor and pleasure to serve you over the past three years. There have been many challenges to include many negotiations and closure of some units but have worked diligently in the best interest of our members. The next three years will be just as challenging, but by working together we can accomplish many of our goals. I humbly ask you for your support and allow me to serve you as your Maui Division Director.
