Oahu Division
Business Agent
Candidate: KARL LINDO
Oahu Division
Business Agent
Candidate: JOSE MIRAMONTES
Aloha my sisters and brothers of this great union ILWU LOCAL 142. My name is Jose Miramontes Jr I am running for Business Agent for Oahu Division. I am running for this next triennium because with who we have in Executive Branch and the current house and senate will and may pass laws that will hurt the private sector Unions we already saw what happened with the “Janus” decision in the Supreme Court. As co-pensioner advisers and working with the pensioners they have thought me so much about the struggles and triumphs that they gone through and accomplished I want to pass that knowledge on to my units that I currently service and any future units that I may service in the future. The ILWU has always struggled through tough times in the past and going forward we will get through what comes at us in the future. This is why I am active with organizing the unorganized that has thought me a lot about what a union contract means and to uphold the contract. Let’s work together and accomplish fair and strong contracts for our families.
So I humbly ask for your vote for “Miramontes” Business Agent Oahu Division.:
thank you,
2021 Convention Delegate Candidate (Tourism):
