Local 142’s brave Union brothers and sisters in healthcare

ILWU Local 142 is proud to represent over 1,000 members statewide in the healthcare industry. In the last issue of the VOICE, we highlighted our grocery store workers on the frontlines at our union shops Foodland and Sack N Save. In this issue, we want to honor and acknowledge the tireless efforts of the men and women who are helping us keep safe and healthy in these uncertain and challenging times.

From accounting office clerks, to medical assistants, to highly specialized techs, ILWU’s healthcare members are skilled workers who provide the highest quality in patient care and service. Their resilience in the face of this COVID crisis reminds us of the strength of the human spirit, and the power of Union values. These pages contain some of their stories from the frontlines.
