What is the NLRB?

The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) is an independent, public service agency of the United States federal government that was established to enforce the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA). It is not a part of the Department of Labor.

The NLRB is empowered by Congress to conduct secret ballot elections for workers, who have the right to exercise their free choice on whether they want union representation for collective bargaining.
